Tell us all about you! What do you do? How do you spend your free time? What's important in life?
I (Chloe) am from Scotland and Andy is from Cumbria but we both live and work in Dubai. We work for the same company which is how we met, Chloe as the Global Bids Manager and Andy as the Regional Director for the Middle East. We love travelling, spending time with our friends, golfing, and walking our gorgeous desert dog, Nessie.
Why did you decide to capture your Achnagairn Estate wedding on video?
Having a wedding video was very important to us as it captures the atmosphere and emotions of the day much more than still photos can. There will also be things we miss on the day as we can't be everywhere at once so it will be amazing to watch back and see moments we weren't there for. The video is a fantastic thing to look back on in years to come.
Why did you choose Amber Tree Filmhouse to film your wedding?
We booked our venue during Covid, at a time when we couldn't fly back to the UK to view venues in person, so we watched a lot of peoples wedding videos online to get a feel for venues which is when we came across Amber Tree Filmhouse and fell in love with a video by Sam at Achnagairn. It captured the couples day so beautifully! Once we had spoken to Sam, we knew that he would be the perfect fit for us - along with being such a master of his craft, he is always the most lovely, friendly person!

Tell me all about the proposal! Spare no detail, I want to hear it all!
In May 2021, Andy planned a surprise trip to the Seychelles, and the fact he managed to keep it a secret is a miracle! Chloe went to the airport still none the wiser as to where they were going, and with some sneaky work at check-in, he managed to keep it a surprise until the boarding gate! On the first night, Andy planned a beautiful dinner at our hillside villa overlooking Petite Anse Bay. After the main course, completely unaware of what was about to happen, Chloe got comfortable and un-zipped her shorts for some breathing room. Before dessert, Andy got down on one knee, popping the question and Chloe's first response was "MY SHORTS ARE UNDONE"! After alot of happy tears (and a quick zip up of the shorts), she said YES and they spent the evening drinking champagne and calling family and friends with the exciting news!
Why did you choose Achnagairn Estate as your venue? What made it special to you?
We fell in love with Achnagairn Estate when we came across it online during our venue hunt, with its beautiful gardens, ballroom and accommodation options. I am from Scotland and Andy is from Cumbria but we live in Dubai and have lots of people travelling for our wedding so it was important to us that we chose a venue that we could spend as much time with our guests as possible. Being an exclusive venue, it is hired on a two night basis and has room for all guests to stay on the estate across the castle and the mini-manors, meaning we can spend time with all our guests the night before our wedding and the day after.
